Rather than emailing this to select people, I thought I would stick this up here. So check it out, there's an article (click here to read it directly) out that tells you how to increase your chances of having a boy
but they don't tell you how to conversely grow a girl, so I think that it must just be the opposite:
"Having a hearty appetite, eating potassium-rich foods including bananas, and not skipping breakfast all seemed to raise the odds of having a boy." so if you want a girl you should nutritionally deplete yourself?
"It just might be that it takes more nutrients to build boys than girls," because boys grow up to have muscles and girls want to be skinny?
Ok, no more snark. What this is actually about is that as we all know it's the sperm's chromosomes that actually determine the fetal sex because women only have X chromosomes... so it's really about making sure that the uterine environment is hospitable to different kinds of sperm-- which is part of a long inquiry by endocrinologists about why maternal bodies don't automatically reject male sperm.
"Among women with the highest calorie intake before pregnancy (but still within a normal, healthy range), 56 percent had boys, versus 45 percent of the women with the lowest calorie intake."
So if you want a boy don't diet before trying to get pregs and if you want a girl do?
